Position Summary:

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Wake Forest, NC is seeking an After-Care Coordinator to coordinate and lead engaging activities, such as arts and crafts, games and service projects while providing close supervision with students at play.

Key Responsibilities: (in conjunction with program assistant)

  • Ensure the welfare and safety of children and respond accordingly.
  • Provide support for students to ensure they complete homework.
  • Provide structure and discipline to prevent any behavioral issues.
  • With program assistant, ensure the closing and end of day logistics.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of personal accountability and high expectations for student safety.
  • Contact substitutes to cover for other staff as needed, updating substitute list with hours substitutes are available to cover.
  • Review supply requests needed for the program and monitor expenses in accordance with the after-school program.
  • Work collaboratively with site and school personnel.

Program Enrollment:

  • Develop and manage the enrollment process for the after-care program at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Create and distribute clear and comprehensive paperwork, including registration forms, emergency contact information, medical forms and program policies.
  • Coordinate with school administration to ensure alignment of student records and streamline enrollment procedures.
  • Establish deadlines and procedures for submitting enrollment materials and follow up with parents as needed.
  • Develop a system for accepting drop-in registrations and updating enrollment records throughout the year.

Attendance, Tracking and Billing:

  • Maintain accurate records of daily attendance, including tracking of drop-in students and regular enrollees.
  • Generate and distribute timely invoices for the after-care drop-in service.
  • Work closely with the school office to ensure accurate payment tracking and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Provide parents with clear policies regarding billing, late fees and payment options

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of experience in a childcare setting preferred.
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training as well as First Aid/CPR training (renewal every 2 years).

Position Start Date: Immediately
