Position Summary:
All Saints Catholic Parish in Hampstead, NC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Coordinator. The Facility Maintenance Coordinator (FMC) is responsible for the care and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds owned by All Saints Catholic Parish which include the Hampstead Campus, Surf City Campus, Surf City Condo, and Rectory. The FMC works closely with the Pastor, Director of Business Affairs, and supervises and recruits the volunteer Building & Grounds Ministry Team. Schedule is flexible to work within parish facility needs and may include weekends and/or evenings in support of major events.

Key responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs across all facilities as needed including clearing gutters, kitchen facilities, lighting systems, doors, sprinkler systems, replacement of filters.
- Schedule routine preventative maintenance calendar including but not limited to equipment and furniture, AED, fire extinguishers and alarms, HVAC, system and thermostats.
- Shut down facilities as needed including water cutoff, power cutoff, irrigation cutoff, HVAC cutoff.
- Operate mower, chain saw, carpentry equipment as needed to complete indoor/outdoor tasks.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems and irrigation systems, make recommendations.
- Assist Director of Business Affairs in gathering and making recommendations on contractor quotes for maintenance projects & capital replacement projects as needed.
- Supervise cleaning service and maintain cleanliness of facility between cleanings.
- Key distribution and return, alarm code maintenance.
- Ensures that facility use policy is followed and facility is cleaned following meetings and events by users.
- Fabricate solutions for facility needs and possess ability to effectively determine “make vs buy” decisions without voiding warranties.
- Create and maintain room set up plans.
- Assist in setting up for meetings/events both inside and outside.
- Assist in hanging banners and other items for events and liturgy.
- Perform risk assessment and take preventative measures across facilities supporting efforts of safety and security team.
- Maintain maintenance work requests and action taken.
- Create and maintain systematic facilities maintenance/replacement schedule with Director of Business Affairs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, custodial, painting, HVAC skills.
- Technology skills including programming security, fire, phone, temperature control systems and general computer skills including office 365.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize simultaneous requests
- Ability to effectively communicate with others and supervise volunteers
- Ability to lift 80 lb and perform physical tasks including but not limited to handling furniture, ladders, moving liturgical items (piano, equipment) seasonally as required.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years building maintenance/coordination experience
- Project management in the construction field
- Certifications in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC a plus
