Native American Catholic Community (NAC)

Kateri Tekakwitha impresses us by the action of grace in her life in spite of the absence of external help and by the courage of her vocation, so unusual in her culture. In her, faith and culture enrich each other! May her example help us to live where we are, loving Jesus without denying who we are. Saint Kateri, Protectress of Canada and the first native American saint, we entrust to you the renewal of the faith in the first nations and in all of North America! May God bless the first nations! - Pope Benedict XVI, Canonization of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, October 21, 2012

Diocese of Raleigh - Kateri Circle

The Raleigh Area Kateri Circle was chartered in 2004 for establishing a "home" for Native American Catholics and others interested in Native American Catholic spirituality. The circle is open to people from across the diocese. The circle meets regularly with the purpose of praying for one another and all people through the intercession of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, our patroness. We gather as well to share fellowship and traditions and pass these on to our children.

We also work for the greater needs of the Tekakwitha Conference, the only national organization whose sole purpose is to support the interests of Native American Catholics in the United States and Canada.

Interested persons may inquire about joining our meetings by contacting our staff at nac@aamendor.org.
