A group of nuns welcomed Pope Francis with open arms and he immediately had a question for them.
How many novices do you have?
Thank you. Welcome to our home, Pope Francis.
Welcome Pope Francis.
How many novices do you have?
Three.
But all over the world there are many.
Yes? Where?
Africa, India, Korea...
The pope had gone outside the Vatican walls to visit the center run by the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master. But there were many more people waiting for him inside.
Greetings to all of you. Thank you for being here, thank you for your work. Go ahead with courage. Do not tire of doing good. Now, I give you all my blessing.
The reason for this outing was not to visit the nuns but rather for this:
To spend some time with the younger priests of the Diocese of Rome. They talked about social issues in the city and how to face moments of spiritual crisis. The next meeting between the pope and the priests of the diocese will be with those who were ordained between 1984 and 2014.
